1. Nature of Service

Veriul provides AI-powered visual analysis of luxury goods based on advanced computer vision patterns and machine learning algorithms. Our service analyzes uploaded images of luxury items to detect authenticity markers, craftsmanship quality, and known counterfeit indicators.

2. Non-Binding Opinion

Important: Veriul results constitute a professional opinion based on AI analysis of visual data. They do not constitute a manufacturer's certificate of authenticity, guarantee, or warranty.

Veriul is not liable for any financial losses, damages, or other consequences incurred from buying, selling, or holding items based on authentication results provided by our service. Users should exercise their own judgment and consider obtaining additional verification when making significant financial decisions.

3. AI Disclaimer

Our authentication results are probabilistic in nature, derived from pattern recognition and statistical analysis. While we strive for the highest accuracy, false positives (authentic items flagged as suspicious) and false negatives (counterfeit items passing as authentic) may occur. Confidence scores reflect the AI model's certainty level but do not guarantee absolute accuracy.

4. Manual Review

Items with inconclusive, conflicting, or insufficient visual evidence may be flagged for manual review by human authentication experts at no additional cost. The confidence level required for an automated result varies by brand, item category, evidence quality, and applicable safety controls; we do not apply a single fixed confidence threshold. While manual review provides an additional layer of verification, it remains a professional opinion and does not constitute a binding guarantee.

5. Credit System & Refund Policy

Veriul operates on a credit-based payment system. One credit equals one authentication scan. Credits are consumed upon initiating a scan, regardless of the outcome.

Credits are non-refundable once a scan has been processed. Unused credits remain in your account indefinitely and do not expire. Bulk credit packages offer volume discounts but follow the same non-refundable policy.

App Store purchases (iOS): When you buy credits through the Veriul iOS app, the transaction is processed by Apple under your Apple Account and is subject to Apple's applicable terms. Refund requests for purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple, not Veriul, and may be submitted via Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Once a scan has been processed, the credit consumed remains non-refundable as described above.

6. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for providing clear, high-quality images that accurately represent the item being authenticated. Intentionally submitting misleading, doctored, or fraudulent images may result in account termination without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All authentication algorithms, visual analysis techniques, and AI models are proprietary to Veriul. Certificates generated by Veriul may not be reproduced, modified, or used for fraudulent purposes. Violation of this policy may result in legal action.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veriul shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of our service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.

10. Changes to Terms

Veriul reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
